Finished my wip of 北斗の拳 HOKUTO NO KEN! I didn't understand much about the anime long time ago during the 90's when I first saw it aside from it's one of the well drawn movies and manliest protagonist ever.

As years went by here in Italy whenever I talked to friends here and the subject of anime would come up Kenshiro was one of the shows they really liked a lot.
I haven't seen all the series per se BUT whenever they do talk about it I was surprised how well the story was in a very apocalyptic world he lives in and probably one of the saddest men in anime that I ever heard after rescuing her love Julia would later just succumb to a disease and die.

I like it though he has no complains, no regrets and he carried on journeying wherever his feet would take him bringing order and hope to a eternal world of madness armed nothing with his courage and his fist armed, entrusted with 2000 years of knowledge of the secret art "Divine Fist of the North Star" a ancient secret martial arts style that allows its practitioner to destroy an opponent's body from within by striking into their secret channeling points, often resulting in a violent and gruesome death. TOUGH BOY indeed!
