Lion-O Thundercats

THUNDER! THUNDER!! THUNDERCATS!! HOOOOOOOO!!!
Man! I love this show! I remember very well to this day when I first saw it. We were introduced to the lore of the Thundercats when me and my cousin Louie in one very beautiful summer back in the Philippines at their place in Antipolo. It was when my Auntie Beth just picked me up in one of those days to visit and play with my cousin during those summers. Before going back at their place we passed by the market and later at a video rental shop. The rental guy suggested to check this film out and said it was new. OK! Then we picked it up and went straight at my cuzs place. When that Betamax tape went in and played on their TV we were both Oooh!!! Blown away! And it was history! I think we played that tape twice or thrice during my stay there. It was the first 4 episodes of the first season and a few weeks later started to be shown in TV on Channel 7.

Anyways the opening credits of the show was very well drawn and animated. I wanted to get a feel of it and apply in this work for LION-O as well as give it a 80's vibe in a modern way. The scene of him on top of the mountain was epic that I want to put it here on my drawing of him. Hope you dig it.
